Jamafa has recently installed the first robot sorting and bunching line at Haveman nursery.
The flowers are manually placed in the product carriers of the machine and are further processed fully automatically. The different flowers are sorted using camera measurements, after which a robot arm takes the flowers from the product carriers for each sorting and places them in a bunch. As soon as the target number is reached, the bunches are placed on the FlowerLine by the robot. The bunches are cut to length and tied with elastic cord.
The robot arms are extremely suitable for the delicate movements of the cut flowers. With this machine you can process a wide variety of cut flowers. The use of robotic arms in this machine is a perfect example of an application resulting from the collaboration between DERO group and Jamafa.
